Curriculum

The program’s goal is to educate residents broadly in the field of obstetrics and gynecology so that they are undoubtedly ready to independently care for patients after graduating. Residents participate in clinical and educational training that adheres to ACGME regulation requirements.

 

Curriculum

 

PGY-1 and PGY-2

  1. Obstetrics including Labor and Delivery- 4 blocks

  2. Gynecology- 4 blocks

  3. Ambulatory- 1 block (Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility clinic, Colposcopy clinic, Breast clinic)

  4. Maternal Fetal Medicine including High risk clinic- 1 block

  5. Gynecology Oncology- 1 block

  6. Continuity Clinic- ½ day per week

  7. Junior Night Float- 2 blocks

 

PGY-3

  1. Obstetrics including Labor and Delivery- 4 blocks

  2. Gynecology- 4 blocks

  3. Ambulatory- 1 block (Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility clinic, Colposcopy clinic, Breast clinic)

  4. Maternal Fetal Medicine including High risk clinic- 1 block

  5. Gynecology Oncology- 1 block at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center

  6. Continuity Clinic- ½ day per week

  7. Senior Night Float- 2 blocks

  8. Option for Elective

 

PGY-4

  1. Obstetrics - 3 blocks

  2. Gynecology- 3 blocks

  3. Ambulatory- 1 block (Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility clinic, Colposcopy clinic, Breast clinic)

  4. Maternal Fetal Medicine including High risk clinic- 1 block

  5. Gynecology Oncology- 1 block

  6. Continuity Clinic- ½ day per week

  7. Senior Night Float- 2 blocks

  1. Daily Board MFM / Postpartum rounds

  2. Daily morning conference

  3. Grand rounds

  4. Morbidity and Mortality conference

  5. Statistics conference

  6. CREOG Preparation November through January

  7. Weekly Pre-operative conference

  8. Journal clubs

  9. Perinatal conference

  10. Resident and faculty lectures

  11. Simulation workshops and OB/GYN drills
