Best Doctors Chosen by New York Magazine

New York Magazine recently chose nine doctors from the MediSys Health Network for its list of best doctors in NYC, 2003. The selected individuals and specialties were: Alan Roth, DO, Family Practice; Yvonne S. Thornton, MD, Maternal and Fetal Medicine; Seeth Vivek, MD, Psychiatry; Richard Cofsky, MD, Infectious Diseases; Arthur Kay, MD, Neurology; Stephen M. Lichter, MD, Medical Oncology; Thomas Molnar, MD, Family Practice; Joseph Tibaldi, MD, Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism; and James Turner, MD, Vascular Surgery.

With over 50,000 practicing physicians in the New York area, these doctors are among the elite 1,300 chosen for being the best in their fields. In choosing the doctors, an emphasis was placed on direct patient care and was further refined by hundreds of interviews with leading specialists, chiefs of service, and other hospital personnel, conducted by Castle Connolly Medical, a research and publishing company.
