To meet the needs of the Chinese community that it serves, Flushing Hospital Medical Center has just opened its brand new, state-of-the-art TJH Medical Service in Sanford Towers. The TJH medical center is comviently located in the heart of the busy downtown Flushing area, which has a large Chinese population.

The concept at the TJH medical center is to combine the traditional medicine of the East with the technology of Western medicine. The entire staff is culturally sensitive to the traditions and practices of their patients and they recognize the placement of those beliefs while providing treatment. All of the staff, including physicians, nurses, and administrative personnel are multi-lingual, speaking both the Cantonese and Mandarin dialects of Chinese, as well as English.

The TJH Medical Center at Sanford Towers will offer both internal medicine and obstetrics and gynecology. It will have convenient weekday and weekend hours available. The 2,500 square foot center has five examination rooms, one procedure room, and two-consultation rooms and is fully furnished with ultra-modern equipment and supplies.

In addition to multi-lingual staff, the center will also cater to our patients needs by offering signage and medical forms in Chinese to help their patients feel comfortable.

The new comprehensive medical center has made every effort to make the new center as friendly and accessible as possible. Patients treated at TJH Medical Services can also depend on Flushing Hospital to provide any services not available at the center. It accepts most insurances, as well as Medicare and Medicaid. For those patients who do not have insurance, a sliding scale fee is also available.

All the doctors at TJH Medical Services are well qualified and care about their patients. They have extensive medical education, training, and experience in their specialties.
