Flushing
Hospital Medical Center Department of Prehospital Care
provides basic and advanced life support to the Flushing
Community via the New York City 911 system. FHMC currently
operates four ambulances, and it's 15,000 calls per
year. An excess of 10,000 patients have been transported
to local Emergency Departments
Additionally,
FHMC operates a Medical Bike Unit which provides emergency
medical care to patients in the Flushing Business District.
